Algonquin Nation Secretariat and Algonquin Nation Programs and Services Secretariat represent three Algonquin Communities:
Timiskaming First Nation
Timiskaming First Nation is located at the head of Lake Temiskaming, approximately 600 km from Ottawa. English is the main language spoken with many people also speaking French and Algonquin.

The Wolf Lake First Nation’s traditional territory is in the Dumoine River watershed and the Kipawa region. Their administration office is located in Temiscaming, Quebec, about 400 km northwest of Ottawa. English is the main language with many people also speaking Algonquin and French.

The Algonquins of Barriere Lake, or Mitchikanibikok Inik, are located in Quebec approximately 270 km north of Ottawa. Algonquin is the main language spoken with many people also speaking English and French.
